Created to celebrate a 50th Birthday, by a very proud family.  His highly colourful,  fully charged and extravert personality was destined to explode all over this Memory Box.  His passions are too numerous to include them all in the design, so we concentrated on his private life’s story so far. The rambling of a wild rose is connecting each important event,  the love of family, the creation of friendships and some of his favourite things.

The box is created in Burr Walnut and banded in Macassa Ebony. The free flowing marquetry decoration is created in Pippy Oak, dyed Lime, Birds Eye Maple, Zebrana, Walnut, Quilted Tamo, Satinwood and many more unusual timbers. The design incorporates his beloved car, favourite film, tastiest beverage, most enjoyable sports, a special song, a victorious event, friendships, craftsmanship, a tropical shady palm moment, inspiration and the great love of his family.

The lift up lid encloses a removable tray with solid silver hallmarked Trumpets for handles, which itself conceals even more marquetry decoration and an upholstered leather interior in the form of  a classic E Type Jaguar.  The internal lid is decorated with a hand made solid silver hallmarked E Type spoked wheel and walnut tyre, with family names inlaid into the rim.  The whole box is supported by a narrow plinth inscribed with his favourite silver gilt Churchill quotes.
