Created to celebrate a 21st Birthday for a daughter, who is passionate about the engineering of Steam Locomotives. Designed in Walnut and dovetailed construction, the lid of the Box is decorated using dyed Lime, Walnut, Boxwood and Ebony, with a depiction of her father's hand made working model, steam road locomotive “ShirleyB”, itself created in Memory of Grandma.

As for all engineers attention to detail is paramount, almost every nut and bolt, lamp and detail had to be precise and correctly positioned of course! In the spirit of vintage vehicles the birthday girl’s name has been inlayed into the front of the box in its own vintage name plate “Clare 21”, created from Sycamore and dyed Lime. The interior is lined with biscuit suede and the whole is traditionally hand French polished to a silky smooth finish
