In celebration of a couple’s move to their dream home, this Memory Box has been created as a gift to mark their achievements and fascinating journey.

Made from Tiger Burr Oak in dovetailed form, the exterior remains undecorated in order to appreciate the natural beauty of the timber.

On opening the lid, supported by precision made hinges, the interior is decorated with symbolic marquetry of their long journey through their careers, travels and pastimes to arrive at their dream home. The marquetry is laid into highly figured Walnut, cross-banded in Quilted Maple and strung in Ebony.

Their path begins with their love of music and dedication to work, all in Lace wood and Sycamore. Along came for the journey their beloved dogs, in Maple and Aniegre, who stand in front of a tree to mark his love for arboriculture, the tree being depicted in Ash, Dyed Lime and Sycamore.

The path continues through wild flowers (Dyed Sycamore) representing a love of walking in the countryside of. A motorbike, (Dyed Lime and Sycamore) is the couple’s preferred means of transport, and rests on the path that is disappearing over the horizon in anticipation of their next adventure.

The interior is upholstered throughout in fine red suede.
